535d Tuning NOT DMS

Hi all,
Just a quick question re tuning, i know the flagship on the market is the DMS, however i wanted to know if anyone has ever used this :

Before anyone asks, i'd love to get a dms done however i cant take the risk losing my BMW warranty.

A few people on here have been down the tuning box route the most notable being Steven Gill who used to take his modded 535d to the nurburgring ( what seemed like every other month lucky sod ).
I think he ran into a few problems with it as it only really increases the fuelling side of things .Its not noticeable on our 535d's because of the particulate filter but an increase in exhaust smoke has been noted on many 330d's .
Where as the DMS / emaps / superchips / chippeduk etc.etc. type remap offers a lot more control over many more variables of the engine combustion to produce more hp and torque including better throttle response and believe it or not i also got better
fuel economy ( if you keep off the loud pedal ) as it is a better map for the engine.............that was before CIP 23.2 removed the remap and a few other things well documented on here.
DMS are hopefully coming to put the remap back on friday this week.
Also i dont think you will get any warranty or backup like you will from DMS....I dont know of any engine or transmission failures on the net that are as a result of their work and lets face it news like that would travel very quickly over google.
Just my oppinions obviuosly.

My Ride: 530d se full sport spec inc suspension first retro fitted in uk.
i got my june 06 530d mapped by dms last week and boy what a job, awesome performance god knows what a 535 would be like!!!!!!!!!!

i have this tuning box for more then 10000km installed in my 535d...5minutes work.. marvellous....waow
I recently took my baby to a chiptuner for a testrun : 370pk ; 718nm!
When i take the box out .... the standard 535d feels like a soft pussy... so back in
the engines runs perfectly and has a very nice power spread (>700nm between 2000 and 4000 rpm!)
no sign of any smoke on the backside ..... only porsches in the rearview mirror
my friend porsche 911 could keep up with before, but now ...... byby
i decided to test this box before bying a expensive remap.
I just keep the box because I am very pleased with it.

Nice set of figures .....must feel great with an extra 100hp over standard
Forced induction just gets better and better.

?79 and "one box fits all" ?
I wouldn't touch it with yours, easyrog 
The reason people pay the money to DMS is that they warrant their work, not aware of anyone having to claim on it though.
There are certainly reputable boxes out there, I'm not convinced enough about the 535d ones to put one anywhere near mine though.

I will wait another 50.000km and we will see how much is a new turbo or engine, I have seen too many blown away. 3L diesel OLD 218 HP can be 400HP and no limit Nm but the engine is killed SOON.
Now as for this dyno, mate I have seen some dyno and bet this is NOT the dyno like BMW uses for test, there is one in Belgium the same, go and test it there (search). I am happy for you and your savings, but facts cannot be changed. I have many friends with black-boxes from tuners like G-Power and ACS and when they void the warranty and has to change shifter, turbo or engine that COSTS more than 98?
I only trust developed remaps but for you I hope you still have fun...be carefull there, as specially if you floor it too much, the pressure will be too big for the engine. My friend also bought this box for fun (only 100?) so we will test in a lab and dyno in Spring and let you know what experts says on this...
