On the same wiki there is a formula for terminal velocity. Our proverbial 535d left to fall vertically from an airplane will reach nearly 650 km/h... without any fuel consumption!!!

I find it hard to believe that the 535d can reach 312 km/h ... and maybe it can like the R10 Audi !!!

That's M5, AMG, 911 turbo, Ferrari, Corvette C06/Z06, ... territory !!

Only a minor correction: If you are looking at power figures in brochures, auto manufacturers always use "metric" horsepowers, so the translation factor is 1 hp = 735.499W, meaning that 340 hp = 250,069W.

You are using royal hp translation factors. This can be checked on BMW brochures; even in the US ones the ratio hp to W is 735.

Anyway the difference is negligible, instead of needing 460hp to reach 312Km/h, you will need 464hp.
