Hi. I just had a quad Eisenmann "race" level exhaust fitted to my 535 d. Trouble is, I wanted a deep loud note, and to be honest it don't sound much different to the original exhaust. The guys who fitted it says it will need a while to carbon up, but I already did 250 miles with the new system and it is still quiet. Any suggestions on what to do?

250 miles is hardly a break-in period.

I don't believe the sound will change much since it's a diesel, like mine.

Last winter I cleaned my DPF and drove the car a bit without the whole exhaust system, and the noise was still almost the same .

strange though as the race level is usually pretty hardcore. I heard an M6 with the same exhaust yesterday and it sounded like a Ferrari.
I would have thought it would be louder by now? Its definately race level and not the fast road level?
