Did DMS gave you a copy of the report (car put on the power banch) ? How much did you pay ?
What are the figures ? HP ? Torque ?
Is your car still electronicly limited 250km/h ?
Is your car fitted with sport packet ?
Are you still happy with brake power & endurance ?

Tx for the feedback
0 to 60mph has gone from 6.5sec to 5.5sec(Tested)
[/quote]
Did you test the 0-60 before the upgrade? (And how?) I thought the 535d was nearer to 6.0 in 'standard' tune anyway?

We have to be clear on this. 0-62mph=0-100km/h (6.5sec bmw figures)
0-60 is a bit lower.

Ok, true! It was tested before and after the upgrade so the difference is most important. However, I'd still like to know how it was tested...

However, I still thought the 'official' BMW figure of 6.5 for 0 to 100km/h was conservative?

Ok, true! My point still holds as it was tested before and after the upgrade... (Whether it be 0 to 60mph or 100km/h)

AFAIK the 535d doesn't have any electronic speed limitation, the reason being that, in standard guise, it's supposed to not exceed the 250 kmh self-imposed limitation.
In any case, my 535d easily reaches the end of tacho scale (260 kmh) at about 4100 rpm and pulls strong for 400 rpm more. The tuner says top speed is 257 kmh.
260 km/h at 4100rpms? That seems odd.
I have in my standard 535d 3000 rpm at 220km/h and around 250-255km/h where the limiter kicks in i have around 3500-3600rpms. Impossible for 260km/h and 4100rpms. Let alone in a tweaked car.
At 3500rmp my cars speedo is reading 158mph.

All those figures are confusing me. I'll do a real life test asap and take some pictures, too. But 158 mph is equal to more than 253 kph, that's a lot at only 3500 rpm. But I don't want to be definitive, maybe I'm just recalling uncorrectly my figures.

I'm new to this BMW forum site so Hi folks.Had my 535D for 2 months now and have to say it's an awesome car, I had a 330D before and I had DMS weave there magic on it,what a great desision that was like driving a new car.So last week I had my 535D tuned as well anyone wanting to know what it's like give me a shout but jaw droppingly quick springs to mind straight away and do you know I'm getting a couple of extra yes extra MPG can't belive it.Anyone thinking of getting it done call them straight away you won't regret it and no I don't work for them.
Marty,

Where do you stand insurance wise, do you declare the mods?

If you do insure it, I would be interested to know who with and what their attitude to mapping is (measured in ?s probably).

Thanks

Hi

I am from Bilbao, Spain. My car was reprogrammed in november by Upsolute at Madrid. They opened the ECU and reprogrammed it with new parameters sent from Austria by Internet.

What they promised was 312 hp (power) and 630 Nm (torque)

Last week I took my car to a Dyno Race testing machine closed to Bilbao. They have no relation at all with the reprogramming company.

I have the whole curve (Figures pattern)

Std Power 272 hp.............repro.......329,7 hp at 4150 rpm

Std Torque 560 Nm..........repro.......672,2 kgm ( 658,56 Nm) at 3100 rpm

No smoke at all. ( Particules filter eliminates it)

Consumtion has drooped slightly

Speed limitator was eliminated. According to new max. power, at 4150 rpm, and the 6th gear development, (68,2), at that rpm what you get is a speed of 282,2 km/h. They told me I should reach that speed with te new programm.

If you drive with DS on, you do not get the 6th gear but 5th. So you have to switch to D. (or manual)

Altough equipped with radar/laser detector I have not been able to drive faster than 260 Km/h. I am scared to go faster.

Acceleration is far much better too. 0-100 Km/h in 5,5 secs

The behaviour of the car has changed a lot. You get sticked to your seat when accelerating, believe me.

Kind regards
