Today I had a busy day with the car.

- A wash --> didn't become properly clean though
- Lowered the front about 15mm --> I was surprised that screws and the height adjustment rings weren't stuck at all. I haven't touched them for 3 years.
- Changed the summer wheels on: 15mm spacers in front and 12mm in rear (have to change the rear spacers to 10mm though), and noticed how badly the wheel hubs need paint haha!

Couple of quickies:

I cleaned, sanded/grinded and painted the brake calipers and wheel hubs. I also sanded the brake disc covers behind the brakes.
At last I got this done, as it's been haunting me for ages . Cleaning the parts was quite easy with a power drill and a Dremel replica.
I used the black Foliatec brake caliper paint for painting.

Pics:

The wheel hubs at the rear axle were feeling very sorry for them.

Front end wasn't so bad but still...

The right front corner cleaned up and sanded. Never mind the rusty brake disc. It will clean up along the first braking.

Painted (the paint was very wet at this moment). I tried to paint couple of very thin layers, but the paint was very thick. Fortunately the surface flattened out by itself along the drying process.

Left front corner ready. Sure the brakes jump out in the picture because other black areas appear to be so pale, but I'll take better pics for sure.

Really like your set up. Black wheels look really nice if you paint the hub. I'm planning on painting the hub black next week to match my wheels and break calibers blue to set it off. Your car looks nice

Got a wheel alignment done today .

The mechanic was a great guy. He kindly let me tape up the wheel edges to cover them from the spikes of the aligning mirrors before he started working.
Also got the special price as well .

Doing little things continued later today.

After wheel alignment, I had to swap the 10mm spacers at rear down to 5mm spacers and I'm still getting slight rubbing on bigger bumps. This might be because the camber is now smaller than before. Oh well, we'll see if I can live with it. I'd like to keep the most aggressive stance possible with the current setup and settings.

With 5mm spacer in rear:

Using the bolt covers is VERY handy with the tiny tool that came with the set :

Another thing that I did was removing physically the diesel particulate filter and replace it with a straight pipe. The pipe is only a temporary solution until I get the DPF opened, emptied and welded in one piece again, then I'll put it back.

DPF:

Straight pipe:

I put the emblems on as well. Sorry about the dirty car.

One overall pic (still dirty):
