Incredibly considering the car is supposed to have 231bhp it had 252.5 bhp on the dyno before the remap, and about 420lb/ft of torque.
After the remap, we were showing 306.6 bhp and 510lb/ft of torque which was shocking. An improvement of 54bhp and 90lb/ft of torque.

I visited Evolve yesterday in Luton for an engine remap, which I chose after reading reviews here. As someone who has sat on the wall on this one for a long time, I have to say the results are quite remarkable. My car was dyno tested before and after the remap. Incredibly considering the car is supposed to have 231bhp it had 252.5 bhp on the dyno before the remap, and about 420lb/ft of torque.

The results on the road are a car that now feels more urgent in my mind than a 535d, albeit the delivery is less linear and the lower rev range below 1750rpm is not as noticeable, the car feels more alive and the thump in your back when accelerating brings a big grin to your face.
I returned a very happy man, Imran gave me a discount of 20% for being a member of this forum, so I feel I had a good deal too.
I thoroughly recommend it to anyone sitting wondering whether to have it done. My insurance company have loaded my premiums by ?25 per year, but this seems a small price to pay.
the other upside, is that on my mixed drive home, while trying it out, but then sitting at 80mph on the motorway for about 50miles, the OBC indicated 51mpg, on a similar trip in the past the OBC would have given about 40mpg. There was a bit of a tail wind, but I think it would have done about 47mpg without the tail wind. I will give more detail when I have done a more indicative trip.
Attached is the dyno printout, Imran asked me to point out that the power curve over 3750 is a bit wobbly due to my car trying to get off the dyno, its not something you feel when driving it.
Thanks to Imran for his time,

Fuel consumption with mix between town and M4 between Cardiff and LHR is about 42mpg (imperial) or 6.6 l/100km, and I drive DS mode most of time. Not bad for Touring XD and definitely almost 15% better than before remap (and confirmed by paper and pen calculation).
I was a bit worried after remap that I might get issues with transmission or bearings or ...whatever, but car is holding great this far and BMW has not noticed anything. Went for last warranty service few weeks ago as car is now 100k km, got panoramic roof put to silence [re-alignment + seal], so that it is now always open, and wheel balancing and alignment were also done. No vibration in steering anymore. Really enjoy the ride.
I can only confirm Evolve did great job on their remap program.
