Hey Guys,

I picked up my car from a service at the BMW garage. My car was requesting service...according to my key an oil change of the engine + brake fluid was needed. Since I had driven 35000 since my last check up, BMW recommended a full check (50 minutes according to the system).

Now the bill:

7.7 liters of oil for the engine + oil filter + labor = 310 EUROS!!!! I have never had such an expensive oil change in my life. They charged me 32 EUR (INC VAT) for 1 liter of oil. I really got angry with the guy, since I just bought 1 liter myself (for in the trunk; one never knows) and paid 14 euro's for it....

Total bill was 500 euros.

Do any of you have the same experience? It is my first time at a BMW dealership, and, after the official guarantee is up, definetly my last for a simple oil change.

Thanks

They robbed you, straight up. If you need any auto work done, please let me know. I'd be more than willing to triple charge you for services since you clearly pay it!

obviously they are robbing you. Just go any Indy shop or DIY but buy the correct Oil for your BMW.
