Well actually i wouldn't sell them either. Like you said, it is not that preferable to drive winter tyres on 20" wheels . Prices of your winter tyres will also be higher.

You also need to consider how much you will get for the wheels, tyres,...

PS: what about the quads ?
I am at work so i'll have to post pics of the quads later as i dont have pics on this pc. It probably would be vacation pics that u'll see.

The BMW (twin) turbo diesel is kick ass!

I'd love to see some 0 - 100 km/h and 80 - 120 km/h measures!

OK, bring on those 550i's
Some say even the 545i's are enough to beat the remaped 535d
How can you beat 700NM?!?!

Hey guys,

I did the Wetteraurer thing yesterday and transformed my 535d from a fast car into a beast. 352HP and 694NM. Note that I have Quad exhausts.

At first i thought the difference wasnt that much and then i realised that due to the increase in torque the car doesnt kick down in gears as quickly and stays in high gear.

But push harder on the pedal, and all HELL breaks losse !! The back tyre spins (even with DSC on), and u get pushed into your seat as the car goes mad! i think if i turn DSC off it would be constant wheelspin.

Also very noticeable is how fast it drives up the needle even at high speeds from 160 to 200 and above (couldnt test the top speed yet).

Highway cruising is great too cause it just rides on a wave of torque at 2000rpm.

Even when not using the power it feels great to know that I am sitting on so many horses. And that I can potentially blow almost anything on the road away!

I am happy too cause i am going on vacation today by car to Spain and will be climbing the Alps of Switzerland \ France - so i'll be putting all the torque to good use.

OK, bring on those 550i's
The manager of Digital Tuning told me that they've tested power increases up to about 350 hp in a 535d but the result was unpleasant, with a lot of additional vibrations and a kind of un-refined feeling. And what about the reliability? That's a 30% increase in power output and about 25% more torque than a standard engine. It seems to me way too much for a series production engine, without any major modifications to improve cooling, lubrication and wearing of mechanical parts. At least if you plan to run your car 30 or 40 k miles per year like me. Did they (Wetteraurer) guarantee mechanical parts after modifications? What about possible turbo damage or transmission damage?

Wetterauer guarantees engine and tranny for 1 year (included in the cost of the remap) and the warranty can be expanded to 3 years (for an extra 200euros or so), wich is good if u ask me.

I think 350 is the limit for this engine without wearing too much and without risking too much. After this imo it starts to get risky and maybe even unstable. 400bhp is asking for trouble as i've read that 400bhp is obtainable form this unit alone.
It would be interesting if we could get an aftermarket cooler better than oem.

Incredible.

I'd fear for the longevity of the whole drivetrain due to the extra stress placed on the the car due to the re-mapping. :'(

However, if u are only planning to keep the car for a short term then some other poor schmuk is left with increased risk of premature failure.

BTW, I thought the auto boxes were engineered to take 700nm max. Certainly pushing that one to the limit.

So enjoy it before it vapourises.
