Default 335i vs 535i Airbox/Intake System

Is it the exact same part, size etc. Looking at the intake in my 08' 535i and looking at pictures of a 08' 335i air intake looks identical. Same engine (N54) so I would assume so...

Thinking about buying []BMW Tuning | Wheels & Rims | Parts | Accessories & Exhaust since it's $165 shipped. Only haven't because it says it's for the E90/92..

My car doesn't have the airbox with the inlet tube that comes in from the right; my car's setup looks like []2008 BMW 335I Parts - getBMWparts.com - Exceptional Pricing | Unparalleled Service | Genuine BMW Parts

It does look like the filter is the same size but cant tell for sure. If so i would be willing to try it as well. I would have no use for the air scoops but oh well.

I bought a CAI from Vishnu Performance that is identical to the same thing I purchased from them when I had my E92. So I would say that you shouldn't have a problem with having the aFe fit.

I did a lot of research before buying a intake system for my 535i and went with the bms dci. I did run with a dropping option but once I went with a dci the car was more responsive.

+1 bms dci = cold weather, stock intake box = warm weather... Heat soak can be a biotch.

Airboxes are identical . But they have different snorkels. E90s receive air above the grilles e60's only from the drivers grill. Theres a big difference in the front end corner.. i would have bought a e90 dinan intake a long time ago..

i agree with everyone! BMS is the way to go, i liked the aesthetics and my buddy who had a 335i (now e90 M3) had the AFE stage 2 intake. so i liked it and went with it. plus it was along the lines of what Cobb had recommended for prepping the car for stage 2 software. good luck!
