Just had a Lengthy talk over the phone with Technic and it looks like im gonna be the guinea pig 
. Im gonna head down to Ft. Lauderdale in the next week or so. According to him the two biggest hurdles are getting the the lci idrive controller to work with my M-ASK set up and seeing if the guy that does the FSC codes can generate them for my car.

I contacted Patryk which is the guy that can generate the FSC codes and according to him there's a 99% chance that he can generate the FSC codes for our cars but wont know until i first pull the trigger . He wants 800 euros for the codes and his service. He also has the package with everything for 2270 euros shipped, but i like your source pricing a lot better.

I would be interested to see how the nav looks in Birdview! Is it the same as the new 2010? How did the 10" screen fit in the E60????
So i've been lurking in the e90post and some folks over there retrofitted to the 2010 idrive. the install is pretty much plug and play. check it out.

For those of you with the 2010 models what do you guys think of the new idrive? how's all the new feature and the system response time for the navigation? My current idrive system takes forever to load my destination.
As for pricing this retrofit is give or take $2000.. what do you 2010 guys think? worth the upgrade or no?

Update: the guy was able to generate the codes for my car so i went ahead and order everything that i need for the retrofit . CIC< CID and C ontroller should be here in 10 days and the rest of the parts that i need should be here in 3 weeks, they need to come from BMW Germany.
