Hello All,
Just bought a 2008 535xi and had to do something with the 17's
Went to Discount Tire Direct and got 19" Beyern Mesh 8.5/9.5 with Continental 245/35 and 275/30. My concern and question is with the offset. They recommended ET30 front and rear, which is very agressive. Looks fine but no way I think I can do any lowering. Pics to follow....
Your thought??
THANKS!

My Ride: MY07 525xi Silver Gray
Model Year: 2007
to the forum!
Now that you've changed the look from 17's w/ the 19's ... you also increase the visual gap ... ... between the fender & the tire.
And you are right w/ that offset you'll probably rub (at least on the rear) if you do the drop ... but that's just such a huge gap
If you click on the pic of my sig below you can see my side view w/ same tires & wheels size as you except ET35 front & ET40 rear then lowered.
On the rear I'm looking to go w/ 285/30 for additional sidewall & width next instead of adding 5mm (max) spacer to the back to bring it to ET35.

I guess ride quality is depend on where you live as how the street around you but I have no problem w/ my ride quality and it's my daily drive too.
The other option you have is go w/ KW v3 coilovers that may set you back 3x-4x H&R springs. I have no alignment issue.

In the Beyern Mesh would have to move up to a ET40 front and ET45 rear.
I may need to try something else.....
Maybe a Avant Garde M310? If so, any opinions on my Space Gray color, should I go Hyper Silver or Gunmetal?

I am picking up a 2008 535xi tonight and very excited. Although i need to replace the wheels asap. I found these wheels they are from a 2008 535i.
I am not sure if i should buy them as i dont know if they are going to fit.
what i know is that my car has the stock 17in wheels and the ones I want to buy are:
2008 BMW 18" rims and Dunlop Tires(245/40 R18).
Will these fit on my car and if not what do i need to do to make them fit. The dealership is not very helpful.
Please help. Dont make me drive the car with the stock wheels
