Hey, anyone know of a used set of down pipes for a 2008 535 LCI? And, is it a pretty good mod as for sound and HP increase on a stock exhaust? I haven't gotten around to switching out the exhaust quite yet... I've already checked out the classifieds here but didn't see anything.

Mine will arrive in 5 days... On a 535xi with Vishnu Procede Flash, Intake added 100HP and downpipes should add another 30-35 HP. Might do a dyno before and after. AR Designs sell them but there ridiculously expensive since nobody really hooks these cars up. 335 have way more downpipe options than us and much cheaper

Good to know. I just added the JB4 software and I'm very impressed with the power increase. Reported around 100, but I'm sure it's a little overstated but a huge clearly increase! I was thinking about adding the down pipes too.

No I sure haven't. I'm interested in a set and would like to hear what they really add I did install the jb4 so a set of pipes would be nice!

I might be interested too. I think AR offers downpipes with or without catalytic converters. I am curious if car can pass smog test/check on downpipes w/o cat converters, especially my RPi has no cat converters??

Our cars have 4 cats. Downpipes with no cats still leaves a set of factory cats in the factory mid-pipes so an emissions test might do OK in that scenario.
Running 13.5 PSI now with all-wheel-drive and I'm ready for more . Love the traction but often wish I could spin my wheels and get the rear-end out.
Too bad those AR pipes are so expensive. Thats what we get for modding a less-popular car I guess. I'd rather mod my 535 than settle for a 3 series though.
