My Ride: Black 2006 BMW 530i with sport and prem package, staggered 124 wheels, 50% tint, AC Schnitzer aluminum pedals, black interior w/ alum trim set, M style body kit and sound upgrade: Alpine PDX-5, PXE-H660, sub, MBQuart speakers.

Besides, how much do you think it really cost to make a replica bumper? no more than $50, if that much. The fact they sell them for $400+ each tells you the huge mark up.
That being said, I'll knock on wood and wait until the bumpers fit and are installed well, and will let you know.

My Ride: 2010 BMW 530i E61, alpine white, cream-beige interior, sports-auto-transmission and a lot more-
here in germany the dealers are the same:
If you want to switch to M-Tech, you have to change everything as mentioned before, they have to because it's an official dealer. They have to work properly and stay OEM, so a conversion costs about 1400? painted, ONLY FRONT BUMPER!
I was evolved in an accident in april, so I switched to M-Tech and they changed everything, goog to know that the insurance covered everything!( 1400? for the front)

Yeah your dealer is full of sh#t. Even if they misunderstood your request and think you want the ///M5 kit instead of the M Tech, that still doesn't require any reinforcement beams and stuff.

Thanks for the Help guys but this still leaves me confused. Should i get an actual MTech body kit or a replica? Besides for the price, what is the difference?

It's like taking your suit to a tailor. The material is exactly the same so I'm not paying 5 times more just to avoid the risk of not perfect fitting, which worse case scenario can be easily fixed at the body shop, so it's not really an expensive risk.
Conclusion: go with a good deal on an aftermarket bumper and save a few hundred dollars for other mods.

If that is the case, contact member Nerweezy of Trinity to get your bumpers. They also do painting as well and if you are slightly handy, you can save some extra cash and install it yourself. There are a few DIY threads available in the DIY section.
