Hey guys,

This particular thing is driving me nuts. I've searched the internet over twice already and can't find a solution. I've got a 2007 530i LCI with halogen and I'm trying to get the correct angel eyes for them. This is the stock bulb and connection that the car comes with:

After being assured from the staff at Bimmian that the WeissLicht ones would fit I bought a pair, costing my just shy of $200 including delivery to Australia. Note that after I emailed their staff about my issue they have removed the option for the LCI Halogen version.

So I received my bulb and the power plug fits however there is one big problem, they don't sit in the housing!

WeissLicht:

Housing:

So now I'm $200 down (trying to get a return with Bimmian, lets hope that goes smoothly) and I still don't have my Angel Eyes! What other options do I have? Colour wise I don't mind anything up to 6000k although I would prefer 4300k or 4000k to match my other lights (they are Philips BlueVision 4000k). Any vendors here or anybody at all can help? Or even a replacement halogen bulb I don't mind.

cut your factory angel eye bulb, shove the replacement angel eye in there, and secure it. then put it in. DONE!

This is exactly the swap I tried last week. Had to take the LEDs back as the long fitting can not work in the 2007- Lci headlamp unit as far as I can tell. The problem is I then bought the normal small halogen bulbs and the originals do not come out easily from the BMW fitted reflector unit! Has someone found a solution to this?

conclusion - don't buy these nice looking LEDs for a 2007- Lci 5 series!

So glad I do my research by habit. I have a US 2006 e60 and was looking at these same replacements.....

So is there a way these will fit ?
If not, what bulbs will fit to brighten up the halos ?
Do you have to remove lights to get to them? (Pics ?)
Looking under my hood there's no way to just reach in and change from the top.....
