That would be great not having to run wire from the HU.
Ok good to know so just wire the remote wire of the amp to the Red cable in your photo below?
And will that also turn on the amp when the ignition is on (even if engine is off)?
Does the wire need to be a certain gauge or just whatever is recommended with the amp?

Bruce, my car is missing that 7 pin plug that hosts the rear/boot sockets and I cannot find it on realoem/bmwfans.
Do you know the part number for it by any chance? Or which of those 7 pins I should attach the remote turn-on cable to?
