have 20 inch Beyern Mesh's with a lip and my car is lowered on H&R's. I think they look too small.

19s have to be a simple design

20s can have a lip and look similar to a 19 with a simple design

i think 19s are really pushing it as almost too small

Great choice on the drop Howie. How much did you pay for the install and alignment?

The 19's look really nice on the E60. When I purchased my 530i it was rolling on brand new 18 " run flats and at the time I couldn't afford to replace them, however when they wear out they will be replaced with 19's and I'll have a set of 18" MRR GT-1's wheels for sale.

You should see my car. I have 18's and I can't wait until the tires wear out.

RIght on. To me, the 172s are the most beautiful and distinctive looking of any of the OEM wheels made for the E60. Here in New York City, 20s are a non-starter due to our beaten up roads.

Here's mine with 19" MRR GT1's. I've since sold these and now have the same but in 20's.
With a deep lip the 19's look small....really small IMO.
I really like the 172s....but can't find OEMs for a reasonable price, only reps.

20" will feel harsh if you have heavy wheels and thin (30F/25R) tires. my 20's are nice and light (less unsprung weight) and there is enough rubber (35F/30R) to provide a comfortable ride

aesthetics wise.... all else being the same, 20's will always look better than 19's on an E60, IMO.
