My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

I like the look. Have you thought perhaps of doing just a slightly more out on the rear? What about just 5mm spacer on rear to get closer to the front tire/side ratio? Would look even more aggressive than what you already have done.

I will load up the trunk again (I still have the salt) and do a measurement. My gut feel if I move the tire out any farther and add in a little body roll, I could rub. There is a little room to roll the rear fender, but I was trying to avoid that as well as spacers.
I guess the only way to find it is try it. I will watch for a deal on some used spacers. I won't feel so bad about trying them if I get a good deal.
I have started watching a lot of BMW's. I see some 3 series that the fronts are out pertty far, but the top of the fender has a little more flair to it.

I've been trying to decide between the 124 or 166's. I really like the look of the 166's, but i don't have the side skirts,(yet??), and was wondering if anyone has seen any pics of an e60 w/ 166's w/o skirts, or how ridiculous it would look. Any opines?

Well, there you go. Member darkside has the 166s without the M-tech side skirts. I believe in your original posting when you mentioned "without side skirts", you were referring to the M-tech side skirts.

I think its via the abs/dsc sensor, but on which one axle?
I think also that, it can't be from both the axles.
I had the jsal's problem with the offset difference front 12 vs 28 rear as OEM style 166-167 have exactly the same dimensions. I solve it with 15mm spacers at the rear, but my setup is 235/35 front - 265/30 rear, and I'm thinking now to fit bigger tyres on them.
In my opinion, the best looking setup is 245/40 front with 4mm mill-off the rim's hub mounting surface (if possible) and 275/35 rear with 8mm spacers. (offset then=16 front - 20 rear) Talking about out of BMW specs, of course. The perfect solution is offset 20 all around, like stock, but it can't be done with a staggered setup.

I just have to ask, what will you do with the 400lbs of salt! Anyway your car looks great! Too bad the 166 style doesn't come in the standard size as I was just given a free set of run-flats by the dealer...2 years and 16,000miles later! BTW, why don't you come down to our SoCal Meet and Greet? You're not that far, I just came back from S.B. last week, it's only a couple hours, or less, away!
