Hi Guys,
I got my first BMW recently and I'm a big audio fan, so an audio upgrade is priority #1, my car has 6 speakers and 2 tweeters, all oem, I recently bought a lot of stuff to add and/or replace the factory setup, please give me your opinion and if you see I'm missing something please tell me so, I'll appreciate it very much, that said, this is what I bought:
PENDING - JL CLEANSWEEP - IS IT WORTH TO BUY IT?
2 - BMW Logic 7 Tweeters
2 - INFINITY KAPPA 124.7w 12"CAR SUBWOOFER 1247w
1 - 2X12" BMW E60 Subwoofer Box Enclosure
4 - Infinity KAPPA 42.9i 4-inch 2-way SPEAKERS 429i
1 - INFINITY REFERENCE 475a CAR AMPLIFIER MONOBLOCK REF AMP - FOR THE 4" SPEAKERS
1 - Clarion DPX11551 `Mono subwoofer amplifier — 1550 watts x 1 at 2 ohms - FOR THE SUBS
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS MY FRIENDS!

My Ride: 2004 545i titanium grey 6 speed manual with light grey interior. Nav, L7, cold weather, sport, sat. Modifications: suede headliner, pianno black interior trim, Ipod dock, Mtech front bumper, Angel Eyes, and flat black kidney grills.
The subwoofer box shown is actually a good drop in design for our cars. Does the sub box leave room in between the rear of the box and the back seats to mount your amps to? I do not think your 4" Infinity speakers are going to fit. I installed some 3" speakers in my car with custom made adaptors and there really is not enough diameter available for the 4" speakers you got. BSW does have a 4" speaker with a triangular basket that fits. For sound processors I recommend the Alpine PXE-H650 for beginners, or the Audison bit one/ Fosgate 360.2 for experts. The JL cleansweep will fail initialization unless it has full range input, if you have the L7 stereo you would also need a signal summing devise. Also, can I ask why you would not get matching amps?

I didn't get the matching amps because the infinity kappa monoblock was $250 more than the Clarion which is on a special offer from Crutchfield with a $400 price cut, and it had great reviews.
I got the 4" speaker size for the rear deck from Crutchfield.com, it didn't say anything about the front speakers, my bad on that...
Also, my car doesn't have logic 7, but I read the logic 7 tweeters (only) are the best replacement for the factory tweeters.
I think I'm gonna have to call and cancel the 2-way speakers because they won't fit, man I appreciate your advise, this car is complicated to outfit....
How about the MTX re-Q5 for sound processing?
Where can I get those custom fittings for the speakers?, Any speakers that you might know (comparable to the Kappa's) that would fit my car?
Thanks a lot!

I would recommend upgrading to L7 speakers or BSW speakers. I sent PM regarding a set of L7 speakers for your car. Honestly I am not thrilled about either amp choice there. The amps I like are really expensive but if you want a good amp that is also cheap ( relatively speaking ) try the Pioneer Premier amps or Alpine MRV amps ( not Alpine PDX ). At least Alpine and Pioneer engineer their own product and have it made in Japan instead of China.
