Hey guys,

I've got the mod bug again, and am now considering purchasing an air intake to compliment my RPI scoops on my 04 E60 M54 525i.

I seem to have my eyes on the aFe Stage 2 Pro Dry S Air Intake. Has anyone used such an intake before? Is it any good? Someone was telling me that you lose HP/torque with the intake, but they may be wrong.

Would you recommend any other intakes over the aFe?

Stay away from AFE or any other type of intake as they are a complete waste of money. Your best bet is to run an RPI scoop and a BMC filter.

thanks for the reply, I've heard so many mixed reviews about the BMC filter. some say it's good, some say it's utter garbage. would you say it's better than the k&n equivalent?

I'm still confused regarding the choice of wheels.

What does everyone think of the 18" MV2 MSport Wheels Matte Black? Ideally I was hoping to keep some ride comfort and I figured 18/19 would be a good size!
