My Ride: '05 BMW 530i

This is a really interesting thread, and great input from our fellow members. You know what? I somethimes think about these things too. I guess it's just us human beings always wanting more or wanting something better. I got my 2005 530i in november '08 and after I joined this forum, I'm like why didn't I get a 545i? Then I look at myself, wait a minute, lets do a reality check... I'm only 20 years old and I just graduated out of High School last year and I'm driving a BMW. Before this I had a 96 honda prelude customized. Engine swap, boosted, lambo doors, custom paint job, and the list goes on and on... I totalled the car got 2k from INS and didn't get nothing for the mods... I gave up arguing with the INS guys and got a 530i... Last week, My friend and I were driving to the club and this dude pulls up in a black M5 and I'm like "man, I wish I had a M5" and my friends like "dude you are 20 years old and you drive a BMW" Then I think about it, actually I'm not too bad where I'm at.

i felt that way. a year ago i couldnt imagine driving an e60. i have had it for 4 months now and i think of it as just a car, big deal, nothing special. i will look around me while driving and realize i have the nicest car within eyesight, then i think about the way i felt when i test drove it or took it home from the dealer, and when i called my parents, and my best friend to say "you wont believe what the hell i just got". then it hits me that i am behind the wheel of something special.

So I was looking online the other day at some 6ers, an M3, even some SLK and S class Mercedes, and admiring those cars thinking to myself, (I just have a lowly 5 series, a lowly 530 at that...)
Then I stepped outside and looked at my car in the parking lot at work and saw the dozens of cars around it and thought: "Wow, my car rocks compared to most of the piles of horse shit cars around it!"
Then I also realized that I am one of those people who is constantly thinking about what I don't have, what I want to achieve, and not what I "do" have and what I "did" achieve. Its easy to get lost in the bullshit sometimes, isn't it?
There is my Confucius for the day.
I love my baby. I need some side skirts dammit!

If I had a dollar for each time I've looked at my car and thought how fly it is, I'd have it AND a couple of hooked up M5s by now!

My Confucious saying for the day is

And on the lighter side
Why does a Blonde prefer a BMW over a Chevrolet ?
She can spell BMW.
