I agree. I had 27.x loaded about 3 weeks ago and you can no longer get three click on the wheel. You can only get 2.

That is what I conclude - car has not been updated since original build version. WOW. There is nothing to be gained in my estimation unless you had Nav and really used it alot. But if you are happy now don't mess with it. If you ever do get a problem they would probably have to do an upgrade to fix an issue (non mechanical). Even a failed electronic part would force them to upgrade.
I bought my car in to the dealer yesterday with two complains: malfunction warnings that seem to reset itself with a restart of the car for the Anti-Roll Stabilization and right rear backup lights. The ARS was really malfunction when the warning came up but after the restart of the car, the warning goes away and ARS works as well. The service advisor said they will reprogram my car - which I interpret to be progman update. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hopefully nothing bad with happen. On the other hand, I am kind of excited to see what "new" things will I find after the update given that it would appear that the car has not been updated since Dec 2004.

Had mine updated yesterday and these are the two numbers from the print out:
E060-06-12-510
E060-7-03-525
Any idea what version I was running on and I am now running on? I couldn't play MP3 CDs before but I now can, yet I had the perspective view on my pro nav, but I did upgrade the nav software separately.

You were 24.00.00 and are now 25.02.00 (also can be called 26.02 or 27.02) Regardless of 25, 26 or 27, in this case the fixes/features are the same. The only reason you could not play MP3 before is they did not do the MP3 retrofit. It first appeared for older models with PROGMAN (CIP) 20.00.00. Youi must have asked them to give you MP3 this time or they did it wothout being asked.
I did notice that the graphics/colours on the logos changed after the upgrade.

I guess you guys are a little luckier than I am. I bought my car in to the garage on Monday afternoon for them to work on on Tuesday. It's now Wednesday night, after two days, my car is still not done programming. I was told that they were not able to connect to the computer to fix the ARS program. Cobradav, I guess you are right... but I had ligit problems...

Quick update: Finally got my car back this afternoon. Here is what's said on my service invoice (under warranty, or else it would have been easily over $1,000)
Hooked up GT1 found code AFS-6139. Checked for software updates and found that complete vehicle needed programming hooked up sss and carried out programming. Upon programming BO and MASK modules failed to program. Tried programing again and same thing happened couldn't communicate with MASK module. Replaced MASK module and tried programing and found I was intermitantly losing communications with SZL module. Updated module with version 29.4 everything seems fine at present time please monitor and report.
Upon programming found radio inop. replaced faulty radio everything seems fine at present time please monitor and report
