...satellite radio install and ...(wait for it).....a tire issue! I purchased the ride CPO in December, and immediately put winter tires on as I live in Western PA (Yo what up Rudy! ). I took her in over the w/e to get the summer meats put back on and we found a really cheap fix-a-flat plug in one of the fronts!!! This had to be there when I took them off, but simply did not notice. In other words, (bad on me) I purchased a tire with a cheap plug. So I called the dealship from which I purchased my car (BMW of Sterling, VA) and they are going to replace the two fronts. Success!!! Should I push for all four? I was planning on running these down to the wear bars and then going +1 wheel size, but maybe this is an excuse to do it now? Or should I take the two new fronts and 2k mile rears and sell them? Run them down? Burn them?

Advice and thoughts, oh great ones of the e60 forum

DunFlop DSST, 245/40/18 and 275/35/18. The fronts will be new next week and the rear MAYBE have 5k on them.

Give the rears another 2-3K miles and wait until they start to roar. If/when that happens, BMW will replace them for free...

I forgot that they might do that. As I am going down to Springfield I might tell them that they are roaring/need replacing now. What do they replace them with? I guess I could search for type and SIB on the tires, but I am lazy right now. Forgive....I'll do it tonight. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, one thing. There is nothing wrong with the way things are working right now re the Progman Version whatever I have. Should I bother getting an upgrade? I'm not even sure what i am really missing to be honest.

Most get replaced with the same Dunlops. Mine did.
