Presley.

I normally get about 34mpg per tank of fuel. However, if I am feeling frugel (it does happen - esp when early for work!) I sit on the motorway at 60mph for 30 miles or so. I can get 43mpg+ for the round trip.

Around town - down to 28 mpg or so.

Cheers.

(P.S. I know that the M3 should win on paper - and he was a little surprised/slow to react but he was really trying hard and we were neck to neck for a bit.....)

AlanM' thanks!

Do me a HUGE favor. No more asking diesel owners about their gas mileage. It's really deprressing the hell out of me. I get between 12 & 15 MPG in my 550i. If they start exporting them to the US, you are free to ask all you'd like because I will be first on line.
I keep my ripped MSRP label--with the Gas Guzzler Tax line in the glove box, just to show smarmy Prius owners.

I pay for what I want.

Before some of the american members get a wrong impression, the mpg stated is based on imperial gallons of appr. 4.5 liters, not US gallons. My 535d is similar.
If it would do those miles to a US gallon, I'd be smiling even more.

I always bealived that a remaped 535d can keep up and even overtake an M3, not necesarely from stand still where i think the m3 has the edge. But this shows even more than almost anything can happen on the street. I accepted a challange on september to meet with a guy with an m3 for a race (both on a cruvy road and both for roll-on, and stand still) and by then i would have my car remapped by wetterauer. 350bhp and 660NM is just awsome...
PS: I hope i'm a better driver than he is...
PPS: I'll record the whole thing.

That, I think, is highest hp reading for everyday use so far. SG535d had something like that for one track event, but not for every day use.

Let's hope that it's not too much.
