My Ride: 535 D - to be delivered end Feb 2005 - color E08 - comfort seats - executive leather balck - 122 wheels - dynamic drive - active steering - pack luxe - tecnology pack - moon roof - 6CD player - hifi system - spare wheel - BT phone
My 535D is equiped with 122 whells and 245/45/17 W NCT5 goodyear.
The ride is very harch on the back.
I am realy surprised by the very high pressure recommended by BMW: minimum 2,6 bars (260 kPA ?) unloaded on rear axle.
The same dimension in Y rating is max 2,3.
Why such a diffence?
Any feedback on recommended air pressure?
May I dcrease the pressure up to the Y rating without danger?

Are you shure you are looking at the same size
Mine only shows W 17" and the Y are 19"
Can you take a pic of your pressure chart?
A number of people have gotten beter rides on higer pressure, the logic is that the tire then runs more on the centre of the tread instead of on the hard sidewall
