The angel eye rings are the same on both halogen and xenon headlights. The rings are formed by a special plastic light conductor and as far as I understand are neither halogen nor xenon types.

Well... I thought they used some sort of Plastic Fiber Optic for the angel eyes rings with halogen bulbs Definetly not Xenon bulbs to light up that ring.

Here are some pics.

So the dipped is xenon and if you flash the main beam which is halogen.

Also, are the fog light xenons? They do look abit whitish.

Ya the dipped (or regular driving lights) are xenons and the Flash to Pass are the Halogens. But if you push the lever they will use the Outter Xenons for high beams.

The Fogs are Xenon wanna be's PIAA 4700K bulbs. (dont kill me Iceman!)

What dou mean by Xenons wana be's? Are they just more brighter halogens?

Also, i've seen Mercs and Audi's with xenons and they are white but also give a slight blue tint. Why is the E60 xenons not like this?

The E60 xenons are white with a slight blue tint. The blue tint is usually seen at the "edges" of the light (from a driver view anyway ).

Ya I mean they are halogens just made to look like High Intensity Discharge bulbs.

Merc's and Audi's are a bit "blue-er" than BMWs. Their bulbs have a higher Kelvin rating... I want to say 4300K but not sure.

I'm not killing you for installing them, but if you drive around with having them on, even when there is no fog... HIDE from me...
