Got a new 2009 520d last week. The car came fitted with xenon lamps and I compared it with my 525d, there was a distinct difference. The new car seemed to beam out yellowish light, as if it were fitted with halogens(Yes i am sure it has xenons) whereas my older 525d had the perfect xenon look whitish blue.

Any idea what could be wrong? How can i resolve this ?

You have 4000k hid bulbs whic come stock with the car. You would need to change out the bulbs to 6000k for the white hid look

Take a picture of both of them next to each other. That'll give people a better idea of how much of a color change you want.

The stock BMW Xenon lights are 4300k.

As Xenon bulbs wear, they will become dimmer and color shift towards blue.

I am not looking for a whiter look.

Both cars have the stock xenons, hence my question as to why they both should look different.
