We finally have some winter weather in Connecticut, so my first real test of the xdrive with my 530XI brought a lot of smiles. I've owned two Audi's, an A6 2.7 turbo and an A6 4.2 and the 530XI is a lot more fun! Let it snow

I would like to know about the behaviour of E60 on wet roads. I m thinking about buying a new one. We have only (more or less) 2 days a year of snow, but the rain is more representative. Is E60 OK in wet roads, or is similar to its behaviour in snow roads?
The DSC+ system makes to car very easy and very safe to drive even on ice,
so the rain will for sure not be a problem.
Go for the facelifted E60, starting from March production this year.
To be on the safe side with aquaplanning do not get wider tyers than 225/50 17"!
A 525dA (automatic) is probably the best choice for the environment and for driving pleasure.
Order the Comfort Seats and a nice Stereo System and you'll have a perfect car.

Please explain. I suppose you have driven both cars in similar conditions hundreds of miles in order to comment?
About 325xi, nice to hear the experiences. I haven't driven E90 xDrive before, but within two days I will participate BMW winter training with different E90 cars. After that a direct comparison is easier.
I see no reason why BMW is importing cars in Scandinavia without xDrive in models that have 4WD option.

All your opinions about X (and Q) are interesting, but I would like to know about the behaviour of E60 on wet roads. I m thinking about buying a new one. We have only (more or less) 2 days a year of snow, but the rain is more representative. Is E60 OK in wet roads, or is similar to its behaviour in snow roads? The reactions of the car on wet surfaces are OK? Have someone compared with Audi, for example? Thanks for ur opinions.
