I don't use the fog lights that often so I don't have a problem with its placement. The times when I've used it, it was not a problem. Its also not that foggy in NYC. I suppose it is foggy in the UK (london fog? ).

I also don't have a problem with the PDC button. I mean, after you've taken off from a parking spot, you're not going fast enough that you'll be in trouble if you look away from the road. I just turn it off at the next red light.

My one complaint is that I wish the iDrive controller was towards the front of the car more. I have to reach back a bit in order to use it. Same with the menu and voice button below it. Everything else is ok, although I do wish the window switches were on the center console too, not on the door.
