Would you buy a e60 without HUD?

I'm looking at a used 2008 550i, but it doesn't have HUD. Everything else is a match to what I want...but no HUD. I've heard everyone say how much they love the HUD, so I'm wondering if you'd consider buying a car without the HUD? Just looking for opinions.

it depends on what your personal needs/preference is. is it the right deal at the right price at the right time, and are you willing to sacrifice HUD for the deal you are getting?
I sacrificed NAV on my car for the deal i got. I wish i had nav, but i sure am glad i didnt let this deal pass me by.

Yeah I hate to say it... Especially if this is a really great deal you are about to pass up... But I couldn't live without it now... Haha Seriously though I can't even remember the last time I actually looked at my speedometer other than glancing at my RPM guage for a split second and even that sucks when you know the M5's have the RPM guage on the HUD
I'm just way too spoiled now with this thing... I didn't even know it existed until I drove my car home... I was like WOAH! Then when I used the nav for the first time..... I almost came in my pants. HAHA Just kidding... But seriously.

Bah... You can live without HUD if you think the price is right.
I don't have HUD. It's just one less electronic thing to get screwed up!

I would LOVE to have HUD. But not many cars were specced with it because it's expensive and frivolrous.
If you can find one, then come resale time, you're going to have a really easy job selling it, but that will be offset by the high price you'll have had to pay for it in the first place.
I'd say, it's worth looking for, but if there aren't any about and there's another car that's perfect apart from not having HUD then don't mess about.
In the end, it's your decision.

My E60 is the first car I ever drove with HUD, I would really miss it if I were to lose it I must be honest, AFAIK they are pretty rare on the second hand market, it was a strong decider when looking at the one I got, in fact for the spec my car has it is 100% the reason I never took a lesser specced 535d instead for less money.
