hi all. a newbie is looking for help again.

my current stockers are at the end of their lives due to unbalance tire wear. so i am thinking while changing the tire, i should probably change the rim as well.

come across this rim and i am pretty interested in it.

AC Schnitzer type III rims in absolutely mint condition with no curbage or any scratches. These 19" rims are 8.5" wide with the regular BMW bolt pattern of 5x120 and an offset of 15.

first of all, is it the correct offset? i was told by the dealer that offset should be 28 or 32.
if the offset it right, i am thinking 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. since the rims are not staggered, can i do it? or i would have to do 245/35/19 all around?

btw, here is the pics of the rim on the car and off the car, how does it look? and how much do you think they worth? just all 4 flawless rims alone.

You're buying jimmy's rims??

No they do not fit perfectly. A E39 5 series center hub bore size is 74.1mm (1997-2003) the E60 is 72.56mm

thanks for the reply. i guess this jimmy is pretty famous in the forum. i am actually copying and pasting pics which the seller posts on the Ad so i have no idea who jimmy is...

i know this sounds stupid, but that is hub bore size? i thought as long as they are all 5X120 and offset is right, then i can choose the correct tire to mount them.

if they dont fit, what do i need?

thanks again
mike

The hub bore is the cylindrical hub in the center of the rotor that is behind the roundel in the center of the wheel. It is what you slide the wheel onto before you put any bolts in. It helps center the wheel so that all the bolt holes line up evenly. The E39s have a different diameter. To correct this, they make spacing rings (not traditional spacers like you would use to change the offset). These rings go around the hub of the E60 to make it bigger, so it will then fit snugly on E39 wheels. Some people complain that they get vibrations and balance issues from using these hub rings or hub spacers. Do some searches on that to learn more.

Sweet looking wheels. Hope they work out for you.

do a search on ebay for BMW hubcentric rings and E60. I think there are some on there. I don't think they cost much.

Wheels look good.
I have 18" BMW style 166 replicas with hubcentric rings. Rings are very cheap and usually they can be found from a wheel/tyre shop. Usually they are made of quite soft plastic, and that's why it's not very difficult to damage them. There can be some looseness in fitting too --> vibrations for sure.
I asked a workshop to make ones for me. They are made of hard plastic and are very tight. Fitting is just perfect and I don't have any vibration issues. They cost me 20€ to make.

I bought the BBS RSGT's from an E39 M5 and they fit my 545i. Is there a difference?
