I bought the BBS RSGT's from an E39 M5 and they fit my 545i. Is there a difference?
There must be some loose between the hub and the wheel then if you don't have hubcentric rings --> not good.

No wonder I have a slight vibration at 70mph when I had them on.....damm....have to get those rings now. Thanks to this thread.

Is it the fronts and back as well? Does the hub rings come with the same size?
Yes. The hub bore size is the same front and rear (E60: 72,56mm, E39: 74,1mm).

From experience with using slightly different hub sized BMW wheels on past BMWs, I still experienced a slight vibration at speeds > 100 kph, even with hubrings fitted. It's your decision, but I would refrain from installing non-compatible wheels on my E60.

Potential vibration is definitely a drawback of using hubcentric rings. I've had a situation when 90% of vibration disappeared. But then again, I've had situations where hubrings eliminated all vibrations. So if these are the wheels of choice for you, make sure you go into it knowing the potential outcomes, to prevent any possible disappointment.

The offset of the front would probably work. 166M rims are a 12mm offset and for a non-M car should really be 15-18.

The back should have an offset of I believe 28mm. So, a 15mm offset on the rear would probably stick out too far which can not be corrected.
