I have the same issue with my '08 535i.

I ordered light poplar trim, and there is a definite mismatch between the dash and doors vs. the console. My CA agreed there was a problem with my car, but offered no solution.

This is really not acceptable in a $60,000 car.

I've had several previous cars with real wood trim. This is the only car that did not match.

How would BMW fix the problem? Would they send a completely new wood package for the car, or just replace the console wood? If they just replace the console wood, how would they match the existing wood that is already on the dash and doors? Will it come loose or rattle after the fix?????

Did you get to decide which color gets replaced? They should actually order the complete wood set so it can all be replaced in case the new pieces don't match either of what you already have.

Could you check the new part to see if it matches before the installation?

Its something about how you look at it, I sat in 2 brand new 5's on the lot, and looked at the wood, and in certain lighting both cars looked like the wood didnt match.

When I'm there to leave the car I'll check the parts, before installation
