Maybe you can save the pic as a bitmap (.bmp) and use paint to cirlce the joint. From the pic above, I don't see a joint.

Hi tdocz... that's perfectly normal - it's only a piece of veneer ....
Look at any veneer in a jag or merc and you will see a similar thing!

I thought I saw dashes without these joints.

Today I left my brand new 545 for service and looked at 8 others on the lot.

Only one of them didn't have this joint, but the veneer on it was plain practically withy no burl on it. I will probably live with it. The other dashes didn't look as good as mine any way.
