Okay so I had this issue within the first couple thousand miles. When I try to shift into reverse, whether from D or P, the shifter sticks and I have to wiggle it and jam it up to get it into R. I brought it in to BMW and they replaced the entire shifter assembly. No problem. Now maybe 5 thousand miles later I have almost the same problem again!! Now the problem is slightly different. From D or P when I try to shift to R it sticks at N and won't go to R. I have to let the shifter revert back to standard position and press it up a second time to get into R. The weird part is technically after I get into N I don't have to push the shifter all the way up to get it to R, I just have to push it back to the N position and it goes to R. It's weird. Now I'm still having the issue with my transmission jerking the car when I release the brakes from a stop. Read more about this here:

I'm starting to get aggravated because I love the car but it's giving me way too many problems for a brand new vehicle. Any else having the same or similar issues?

I'm amazed to see how much trouble these automatic gearboxes seem to be causing (both pre- and post-LCI), especially since there are much cheaper cars which come with that as well and seem less troublesome.
