Sometimes the wiper completes the sweep, other times it completes the sweep and then rests 2-3 inches above the starting park position. This often happens in intermittent (rain sensing) mode and also when using the windshield washer function -- I don't recall it occurring in other modes. The dealership has attempted repairs in the past by replacing the wiper assembly (with motor) and also by replacing the left wiper arm. SA is telling me that he has not seen this issue with any other car and this is probably an inherent characteristic of my car which they have already tried to correct by replacing everything that they could replace. The car is at the dealership right now and I'm pushing for them to take it up with BMW NA, though I'm not sure what the outcome will be.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is it a relay or module issue? Any SIB/TSB on this? I've got one month of warranty left and don't want to just "live" with this issue.

Just food for thought. Did you try replacing just the wipers themselves? Maybe they're creating too much friction... Could be possible.

The wipers were replaced while the first repair attempt was made. I just picked up my car today and was told that the issue has been fixed now that a relay has been replaced...I guess only time will tell if it has truly worked, but so far so good. They only gave the relay a try because I showed them a post from another forum!
