You did the right thing by not going with an All Season tire as it has been said they are called All Season cause they suck in All Seasons
PS - I agree with the ride comments - just put my Dunlop M3s on and am now considering dumping the Run Flats again. Each year I put them on and think "they aren't so bad" adn then when I switch back to my snows I'm reminded how terrible they are. My worst fear is to be out of town when one goes flat and then have to purchase a NEW RFT even though I want to get rid of all of them.

I run it at tempratures between:
0->5 C: 1h
-10->0 C : 2h
-20->-10 C: 3h

My Ride: 2005 545, nav, sport, PP, cold weather
i put the sport A/S on my 2004 audi TT and they were very good in both wet and snow. plus the handling didnt change at all. it was a very good choise.
