Does BMW have a recommended spec for wheel and tire size for an 05 545 with an OEM sport package?

There are a number of possibilities. Check with the Tire Rack. (Tirerack.com) and they can let you know what is available.

Where do you live?

If you overthere have a real winter I would go for 225/50 R 17 tires and wheels.
And buy some real winter tires not any M+S all season s**t.

Overhere the 545i comes with wheels mentioned above as standard.
