All you guys buying winter tires...now my WS70s are on backorder!! I had WS50s on my E46 and that thing was like a tank. I expect the same out of the WS70s when Tire Rack ships my wheel/tire combo. They have a lightweight set of 17s on sale for $99/ea!

They are going on today. I took home a awd Subaru legacy instead. Just in case we got hit but seeing I live in amherst I can still see the grass.
Feel bad for everyone past walden ave. They are still digging out!

Did you get "tired up" in time? I see where upstate got socked with its first snow storm of the season. Boy I don't miss the years I spent shoveling snow to get out of the driveway when I lived in Syracuse and Utica!

I am one of the few who would not buy the Dunlop 3D's again. Although they are great in the snow, the ride is very harsh with typical driving...almost like a runflat. I've also had issues with vibration that are most likely due to the tires and not the rims. I've had them balanced 3 times and still get shimmy...BMW stated 2 of the tires were out-of-round...pisses me off that QA isn't better in this world. Anyway, I am in the minority with this opinion, but it's my 2 cents. I'll go with Blizzak's next time.

Well just got them on, the ride home was pretty quite for snow tires. May have to venture into the southtowns and hunt out some snow..

Dunlop makes an outstanding performance winter tire.

First day of actual snow fall so I took the 545 and was like yesss finally a chance to test out the tires. Had a good 8 inches of powder in my drive way this morning, pulled right out, turned around and backed in with no wheel spin.. I have a good incline ( my old contis could never reverse up my drive). Now came the annoying part, NO one in Buffalo can drive in the snow, they seem to forget every year and my 15 min ride to work turned into an hour. I took to the right lane which was clear of traffic but had about a foot of snow/ slush. Started out in 2nd from the light and just went right through it. Turning on DTC helped get up to speed faster but without it getting up to speed was a lot slower. Pulled into my unplowed parking lot with no problems at all was plowed in from the city plows. I'm extremely happy with the blizzaks so far, very quite. I only had one time where my car got a little sideways but that was mainly due to me hitting the gas a little hard with dtc on due to frustration.
