windshield distortion

Hi, I noticed shortly after the 2006 arrived that there is distortion when viewing objects at an angle (30 - 45 degree) out of the front windshield (viewing from the divers seat at moving objects underneath the rear view mirror).

Distortion isnt there in the 1999 328i nor the 1999 ford expedition.

Anyone else noticed this? I am wondering if there was windshield damage during transit from the manufacturing site to the dealer showroom and a aftermarket windshield was installed before i picked it up.

I did not check the front, but the rear one is very distorted looking from rearview mirror.

I've noticed the same rear windo distortion, but no front windshield distortion.......
