Would having a strut bar in the engine compartment help reduce the risk of stress fracture?

I"ve also had two windscreen replacement, both occured during track sessions

Three months ago my windscreen was struck twice in two weeks by stones being thrown up from lorries. One particularly large rock, big enough to see coming at over 100 mph caused a chip nearly 1cm across. On both occasions I have managed to get the screen repaired. The small chip is invisible, the large one not quite so. It seems to me that the windscreen has held up well.

Me too. a few weeks ago I was jolted by what sounded like an explosion...never saw the rock itself, but an immediate small fracture with 1/4" spider formation. Took it to my local carwash where dudes are always checking out all cars to do free (insurance paid) windshield repair. 10 minutes later after a silicone/epoxy injection into the fracture area, all I can see is a slight spider. Figure I saved $700 or so not having to buy a windshiled.
