My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i CPO bought in Jan 2009
Yesterday I opened all the windows and sunroof via the car's key fob as I was approaching the car. I placed the key back in my pocket and when I touched the door to get in the car, the car locked, armed the alarm and all the windows closed. I'm not sure exactly what I was touching when that happened, but I have not been able to replicate it since. I know the US spec cars are not supposed to be able to close all the windows from outside, but was wondering has any other US spec car owner had this issue?

Not on my 2008 car with CA is doesn't. I read this earlier then ran out for lunch and tried the auto down/up thing. As advertised, holding the unlock button down will unlock the car while opening the windows and sunroof. I then tried touching the door handle for auto close, nothing. I then tried touching the sensor for locking to see if that would work, nothing. Finally, knowing the answer, I held down the lock button on the key fob, again nothing. Am I missing something here?

you should be able to push in on the door handle (not just touch) and it will lock the doors. keep holding it in and it should close everything.

Ah ha! Never even knew the handle could be pushed in! And the earlier post described touching the handle, not pushing...
On my car (similar to kscarrol's), I can touch and hold the area that causes the car to lock and everything will close. I don't have to push anything in as Felix describes...
