New problem- driver's window goes up half way then back down automatically-displays window trap function warning indicator at every start-up.

Anyone else experience this and what was the fix?

Thanks guys.

It's been happening to me the last few days. Coincidently, it started after a software update. Went from 13.2 to 13.3.
I don't know if its related, but kinda odd.

I am pretty certain that is simply a dirty window that causes this. I think they use an optical sensor to detect obstruction and if the glass, particularly the top edge, is dirty, it will throw a fault. My rear windows would only open and close in 3 inch increments while the fault was showing. I cleaned the surfaces and edges carefully and the fault cleared. They didn't look dirty, but there was black crud on the paper towel when I was done. No problem since. I am somewhat surprised that this is not in the owner's manual, at least I never found it.

Had that problem on my e46. Dealer chalked it up to the window regulator, 5 x TIMES!
