Hi. My new baby is at the dealer, prep'ed and I pick her up tomorrow morning. The dealer said it had 11.1 s/w on it. Will voice control work?

No it will not. You need to wait for version 12 due out in June.

 

Totally false. It depends on when your car was built. Mine was built in Febraury and has worked from Day 1. I think the issues with voice control were fixed with the February + builds.

 

Now I've done it! My build date was 4/21.

Mine was build in wee7/2004 and has the newest software, and it doesn't work...

Mine does work too! It was build in week 18 (end april).

But but but, it's in GERMAN!! Dealer forgot to specify it into English!!

Anyone else with this 'issue' ? He was going to find out wether to change it into English by a software change or if was going to replace some hardware module.

I'll keep you guys informed!

 

It would seem that North America spec cars are less of a problem than Euro spec

My dealer in Scotland thinks that since my car goes to build next week, it will not work on delivery but may be enabalable (if thats a word) via a software update in september?????

In Italy , till now, no way to have voice control and MP3 playing on jan-feb 2004 made cars.
