I'll be able to answer this question in a couple of days...this is the version I'm getting after I complained about the MP3 running after the car is shut off. The dealer claims this will fix it so we'll see...

The latest doesn't fix it. My dealer tried it, because I'm waiting for that fix.
In next week :'(

Let's hope the CD run-on doesn't get fixed.
It's such a minor inconvenience but a GREAT eaxcuse to get another CIP applied under warranty.

True... BUT:
Very soon there will be NO MORE updates EVER!
So, let's hope they have a fix before they stop working on those updates.

What do you mean? NO MORE updates EVER? Will BMW stop supporting the Software?

Things move on when "new models" are launched.

We will see the first spypics of the next generation 5er F10 soon, and the CIP updates are probably ending BEFORE number 30, even though the idrive software is still 95% faulty!
They will then concentrate on the new 5er and support only the new one, since we CAN live with the current bugs...

I suppose that BMW will stop upgrading 5er software, as you say, thinking that it's "good enough", as that seems to be the prevailing attitude. Keep us posted sir
