I consider myself a fast driver but not a sporty driver. I drive fast in highways(my usual speed in the expressway is about 180 km/h) but I have never been in a race track. Will I appreciate the sport suspension, sport automatic transmission and sport steering wheel? And will the sport suspension absorb bumps properly?

First of all, why not test drive both ? If the roads are not in the best condition in your area i would incline towards the standard set.

'nuff said, now go and get your sport suspension car already!
no, seriously, you will. You'll wonder how you ever got along without it, bro! You know how everyone WITH the sport suspension always says how much they love it? You'll be one of those people! In an hour. A Bimmer is a great car, but the sport suspension is what makes it the "ultimate"
PS read that article I posted a link to in the other thread you started - especially, the part about the BMW's sport suspension

I'm on 19" and M-sport suspension (as it's called in Europe) and my wife loves the comfortable ride.
And we have crap roads here.

In a word, the anawer is yes. There is a world of difference between how a sport and a non-sport drives. The sport is much more responsive with much faster reflexes and body control at the expense of some increased ride hardness.
But the sport suspension is not rock-hard. It's just firm. It is not punishing (unlike, for example, the sport suspenion on an Infiniti M. To me, the sport is the erfect blend of ride and handling and is one of the key things that makes a BMW special.
The non-sport supension is considerable softer. You pay the price, howevern in terms of decreased responsiveness, duller reflexes and poorer body lean/control.
As other members have said, take a test drive of sport and non-sport models and judge for yourself. Personally, I would never buy a BMW without the Sports Package as the non-sport suspension strays away from that which makes a BMW a BMW.
