WILL BRAKES FROM A 2005 530I FIT ON A 2004 545I? ARE THE CALIPERS ROTORS AND PLATES THE SAME?

 

The rotor mounting is similar and caliper mounting will fit, but 530 6spd brakes are 310mm vs 320mm for autos. 545 stocks are 13.8 (348mm).

The dust shields "might"be the same, you'll have to check the real oem website. Make sure the brakes are from an automatic so you'll be an 1inch rotor surface difference. If not they wont be adequate to stop the V8 you'll go threw pads like crazy and possibly not enough stopping power

Why would you want to put the 530i brake setup on a 545i? The 545i ones are better than the 530i.

he's getting rid of his M5 units as he sells his car and needs something to put back on the car.

the 545 front calipers and rotors show as the same part on the 545,550, 535 and the 645/650. 530 brakes are too small for a 545.

 

Yeah than DO NOT USE 530 parts its not fair to the next person who buys the car!
