Wife won't let me buy the sport package

My Ride: Retired 2008 535i Titanium-silver with sport, premium, steptronic, NAV, HUD
Retired 2006 525i
I was all set to order the sport package on the 535i when my wife threw in the spanner.
She hates the stiff ride. Admittedly this was on a 335 sport; our own, soon to be retired 525 is a non-sport and very smooth.
Now I'm upset that I won't be getting the sport steering wheel or the 18" wheels. I can live with the non-sport suspension. Is there any way around this.
And I'm not too thrilled about the run flats either.

Can you not specify the wheels you want at order then replace the steering wheel further down the line?

You can't compare the 335 sport which has M-Sport suspension to a 5er sport with "normal" sport suspension. I tested a 330d m-sport and my 520d m-sport is significantly softer ride. From what I have read (not tested myself), the 5er Sports suspension is even softer than the 5er M-Sport suspension. I think you're shooting yourself in the foot if you simply base your decision on a 3er m-sport suspension!

The reason I got the DD to skip the M sport pack, so later now if you want you can buy it from Tony sell your O.E. parts and also the steeringwheel is not a problem, the bmw sport suspension I have is perfect. However I will drop it further 4cm in front 2 in rear, let you know. But teh car I have test driven was nice handling and still comfortable to sit in and drive with drops and 20"s too.

Get the 19" wheels (e.g., #166) without runflats and lower the car.
It will look better than the sport package, but it will ride like the non-sport.
Check out my setup. The sporty looking car for the conservative "feel" driver.
You can do the whole setup for less than $3000 (US) (with installation).

The sport suspension loosens up as you accumulate miles on the car. The sport suspension is definitely not harsh once it is broken in.
