I am here in Northwestern suburbs and more and more I see 5er's around. Definetely a lot of 3's, X3, and X5 around.

I haven't seen your car around.

I would have noticed 166's rolling by me, too.

Its the money and materialistic mentality as stated above. nothing wrong with enjoying the money you work hard for. I figured I would see more BMWs in southern FL, at least in south tampa. holy pretentiousness.

A lot of 3s and 5s and 7s where I live. Funny though mostly 528s 328s....etc......... not a lot of V8s. Couple of M5s and one friend of mine has a B7.

Also, mine is probably one of if not the only modded car around here.........

Small town!!

There are not many 5ers out here either. Since I got my car (July 08) I have seen 1 other 545i sport, 1 535i sport and 2 550i sport. I see a few 525is, 528is and 530is maybe once a week. Other than that its pretty dead, out here everyone likes trucks

Haha, there are more German cars in a 5 mile radius around my house than I could see in a week IN Germany. At least speaking for Berlin, people drive a lot of 'other' brands.
You want to spend some time in Bavaria I think easily one in 10 cars here is a BMW. My car's about as special here as an '87 Ford Taurus in New Jersey

I drive a lot, I do. What I notice is lots of Bimmers around here, but not a lot of E60's. My car is straight-up UNIQUE around here in Barrington, IL. / Chicago area. I see tons of 3 series, lots of X3's and X5's, even lots of 7 series, but NOT A LOT of 5ers. Whats the deal? Seems like everyone in California has a 5 considering way over 50% of the people on this board are from CA, (I think).

So whats the deal!?!?
Unique in Barrington? Considering all the 550s and M5s sold at Motor Werks, I find that hard to believe. Maybe all the richy rich folks in Barrington are driving their lesser cars and SUVs this winter. Or maybe all the rich Barrington folks have driven downtown blocking traffic because I see a 5 series BMW on every block down here. I've noticed that 75% of the 5 series BMWs on Michigan Ave. are xi(s). This makes sense considering the weather. If you don't see many 5s in Barrington, wait until spring when the M5s awake from their winter slumber.
