cause BMW NA blows and the US always gets shafted?

Why no M Sport Packages for US E60?
Why no real LC on US E60 M5's?
Why no BMW Individual in the US?
Why no 1 Series in the US?
Why no E46 M3 CSL in the US?
Why no E36 M3 Evos in the US?
Why no E30 M3 Evos in the US?
etc.
I second that . . .

They are not for parking, but for those high speeds we attain here They fold for the same reason an F-14 has folding wings more speed/better aerodynamics I'm just kidding

Cool! Can you fold one mirror and help with turns? Kinda like an air brake?

I think the biggest reason for them in the US since most of us don't have narrow roads is for parking in many of the newer garages. Too many home builders are skimping on the garage these days. It used to be that in the US you would always tell what cars were made here or made over seas by checking if the mirrors would fold. Even the Japan built Nissans had manual folding mirrors but the US built had the fixed mirrors. That's since changed and many cars now have power folding mirrors. But for some reason BMWNA thinks it's not needed (and they may be right). But why not add it like the rear fog lights?

My E53 X5 has the folding mirrors and I do find them useful since my garage bays are a bit on the narrow side.
