Ya... a test drive might sway you away from SMG... but after a few thousand miles under your belt and really learning the car its a BLAST!

This thread has gotten me interested in the SMG again. I test drove an SMG a while back and thought it was very jerky. I ended up with the 550 Step but am now looking at a used M5. So what is the trick to driving the SMG smoothly?

The best "trick" is simply practice and experience -- you have to spend time reprogramming your brain to do something differently and there's not always a shortcut to doing that...
